SulokShops ("we", "our", or "the platform") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) and its implementing rules.

1. What information we collect

For store owners (sellers):

• Full name, email address, and phone number (provided at registration)
• Business information: shop name, category, description, address, and contact details
• Store location coordinates (latitude/longitude) — only if you choose to set them
• Uploaded images: store logo and cover photo
• Sales and inventory records you create within the platform

For visitors (no account required):

• Browser geolocation — only if you grant permission, used solely to sort nearby stores. Not stored on our servers.
• Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and uptime monitoring

2. How we use your information

• To operate and display your shop page to potential customers
• To allow you to manage inventory, process POS sales, and view reports
• To authenticate your account securely
• To communicate platform updates (if applicable)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. What is publicly visible

When you create a store, the following information is visible to the public on your shop page:

• Shop name, category, and description
• Store location (city, barangay, and map coordinates if set)
• Contact details you provide: phone number, email address, and Facebook page
• Your products and their prices

Please only share contact information you are comfortable displaying publicly.

4. Data security

• Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt hashing — they are never stored in plain text
• All connections are encrypted via HTTPS (TLS)
• Forms are protected against cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
• Login attempts are rate-limited to prevent brute force attacks

5. Data retention

Your account and shop data are retained as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at admin@sulokshops.online.

6. Your rights

Under RA 10173, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — update inaccurate information via your account settings
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and personal data
• Portability — receive your data in a commonly used format

7. Cookies

We use session cookies only — to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.

8. Third-party services

• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — used for the map picker feature when setting store location. Subject to their privacy policy.
• Google Maps — external links to Google Maps for store directions. Clicking these links is subject to Google's privacy policy.
